Visit to Historic Surakov Museum
A preserved 19th century house & estate where artist Vasily Surakov (Василий Иванович Суриков)made his home in Krasnoyarsk. We had a great, detailed tour from the museum director that touched on many aspects of traditional Russian homes too. Thanks Slava for translating! :-)

wow, fantastic set of pics! not only were the actual interior ones fun and with people - ie. Katherine!.. i couldn't believe there was one of you outside without a coat on... hehe - that whole museum place was fascinatingly historic. i love the shot of the front gate with the modernist high rise in the background, or rather across the street. nice juxtaposition.
